Theres truly never a dull moment when shooting with Jack and for this shoot we were both dying to steer away from digital. Even with the struggles of not being able to see how shots were looking and the processing time, there still seems to be a movement towards going analog in a seemingly digital world. Shooting with film has become the mainstream in art culture and to be honest, I love the switch. I think we spent an hour and a half just trying to get that bubble gum on film but honestly, the shot was worth it and I love the value that film adds to photography. I love how the noise of the film contrasted with the mint green background. We shot these at Jacks studio downtown Detroit at the Russel Industrial Center. Can't wait to shoot and share more of Jacks's ingenious ideas and aesthetics.
